Orthopaedics ACT surgeons: Dr Chris Roberts and Dr Gawel Kulisiewicz, depart this weekend for a 2 week medical aid mission to Micronesia. It has been 2 years since an Orthopaedic team from the ACT visited the local community to offer expert medical help.

This medical aid mission would not have been possible without the support of: the Micronesian Government; colleagues who have given up their time to provide anaesthetic, nursing and physio expertise.

Support also provided by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, Smith and Nephew, Stryker, Zimmer, Depuy Synthes, Medical and Optical, Orthopaedics ACT, the Brumbies and BMW.   – 16-July-2015

Dr Christopher Roberts and Dr Gawel Kulisiewicz recently spent two weeks in Micronesia, where they volunteered their time and surgical expertise by operating, assisting and teaching the local medical community. In additional to the medical tools and equipment which has been generously donated and will be a huge contribution to the local community Basketball ACT and the Brumbies kindly donated assorted children’s T-Shirts, caps and stickers. It had been a few years since our last visit and was a great opportunity to see how patients from the last visit were faring.   – 28-Feb-2014
